About me

My name is Eric Liu, OCAD 2022 - 2026 students. I am a designer who creates visual works based on illustrations. Currently, my main focus is on the composition and visual rhythm of the works, as well as the potential expansion of my created images in various forms. My work often has a certain flatness and a tendency toward abstraction. I continue to explore different flat visual styles and experiment with how elements are arranged within the image, seeking which compositions and visual relationships can make the images more interesting and varied. 

 

Beyond the work itself, I also have a strong interest in how visuals can be applied in more specific uses. For instance, visual designs related to characters or illustrations, cultural derivative products, IP-related merchandise, and different transformation methods of paintings in physical forms. For me, a painting is not merely an independent work, it can also become part of a certain series or develop into content that can be incorporated into different media and product environments.

These works also reflect my ongoing exploration of visual structure and the expansion of illustrations, as well as the possibilities they have in different forms.
