Between clarity and illusion, they grow slowly, as if nature has been quietly transformed.

This project is a visual series centered around abstract science fiction creatures, currently, fungi are the main research object. In the creation process, I attempt to draw inspiration from real natural life and then expand and restructure it, so that these forms not only have a basis in reality but also present a certain sense of strangeness, imagination and abstract space. In this series, I aim to reimagine and reinterpret natural life forms, drawing attention to those that are often overlooked, as well as the unique visual qualities they present.

In the initial stage, I studied and observed the structures of various types of fungi, extracted the characteristic morphological elements from them, and then combined, transformed and restructured these elements to develop a series of unique fantasy biological forms. During this process, what I paid more attention to was whether the images could establish a balance between reality and fiction visually, so that viewers would feel both novelty and not completely detached from reality when viewing.

At present, this series is still in the process of continuous development. I have completed some of the illustration works. These contents record the ways I explored the forms, compositions and visual relationships at different stages, and also helped me gradually clarify the development direction of this series.

Apart from the images themselves, I was also considering whether these visuals could be extended to more specific applications, such as product-related applications. Through this project, I began to pay more attention to the transformation methods of images in different forms, as well as the additional possibilities they possess beyond visual expression.
